Welcome to the Industrial Relations Society of New South Wales.

The IRS of New South Wales, formed in 1958, was the first organisation of its type to be formed in Australia.

Its objectives are to organise and foster discussion, research, education and publication within the field of Industrial Relations. It has been highly successful in bringing together representatives of trade unions, employers and Government, the legal profession and academics – all of whom have contributed to the promotion of better Industrial Relations.

Participation enables a free exchange of opinions, an understanding of another person’s point of view, and new friendships – all factors designed to create goodwill and understanding in the field of Industrial Relations.
